In the aftermath of Freddie Gray's death, thousands of people in Baltimore demonstrated against police brutality in a number of ways, including street protests, cultural programming, and fighting with police. Marc Steiner Show producers Stefanie Mavronis and Mark Gunnery covered a few of the events, including Center Stage's free live performance at the intersection at the heart of these protests, Pennsylvania Avenue and North Avenue in Baltimore, on May 2, 2015. Featuring Kwame Kwei-Armah, Center Stage Artistic Director and the playwright behind the amazing musical 'Marley' currently at Center Stage.
